Wedding Date: Saturday 10 August 2013
To date the happiest day of my life (oh gosh - how soppy!), I married the love of my life and now husband, Craig. You could say we are childhood sweethearts and after waiting 10 years for a proposal I could not wait for the ‘Big Day’.
On the month’s leading up to the wedding Pinterest
became my best friend, creating boards and pinning inspiration left, right and centre. It gave me confidence to plan my own day and be able to show suppliers what I had in mind. In fact some of our customers at Blush share boards to show us what they like and have in mind, it's so helpful!
So with my pins at the ready, Craig and I went to a few wedding fairs to get even more ideas and then started to book everything from the venue
, to creating the stationery
, buying the outfits
, trying out some (okay, a lot) of cake and organise the day.
Please enjoy our day in photographs taken by Dominic Wright Photography
- who, can we add, gave us images we will cherish forever. I cannot recommend these guys enough, Dom & Zoe were so creative, professional and fun people to have with us throughout the day and as a result we have these perfect photos we can look back on forever. ❤️
Pre Wedding Ceremony

How do these things go on?!
Pro-lacers Kirst & Ash get me in to the dress.
Wow, these guys nearly set me off from there reaction - *feeling like a princess*.
Looking sharp guys.
All my efforts to be there on time… may not have paid off - Only 20 mins late, that can’t be too bad, right?
We are here!!
That moment when your #finallymarried!
And that moment when your photographers flag you down to jump in to the middle of a corn field #genius.
What a venue, we hired out a few of the lodges. Spending the first night (pre-wedding) in girls / boys lodges, enjoying the hot tub and fizz. The night of the wedding our guests and friends got to enjoy the lodges and we checked in to a suite on site. The staff at the KP where fantastic and so attentive, food was outstanding and overall we would highly recommend The KP Club as a great venue to get married.
The Speeches, Family & Friends

Any pre speech nerves guys?
The Beautiful Head Bridesmaid - Ashleigh
And just when you thought the day could not get any more emotional, our best friends gave the most moving and heartfelt speeches, the tears where definitely NOT held back!
Look at these cuties, handsome Hugh & adorable Grace.
We decided to keep guests entertained by holding a few silly games, one of them being Family Fortunes!
I think we have some happy winners.
Stunning Ombre Lace, Wedding Cake.
Pretty poise - with a photo attached of my Dad & Brother. This small detail meant so much to me, they have both passed away and walking down the aisle was one of the hardest things I have ever done. This momento on my bouquet made it, in a way, feel that somehow they where there with me.
The Happy Couple
Wow, I’ve got to say, after the wedding being over 3 years ago, that felt pretty emotional (in an amazing, fantastic way) revisiting and remembering all of the elements that made our day perfect.
The best tip we can give you in organising your day is to not stress too much, enjoy the planning and allow help! Your friends and family can get just as excited as you about the big day, i’m pretty sure they would be delighted to help it you ask.
